A resident for the amazing Berlin’s Radiant Love crew, part of DIP and one half of the Soul Seeker Allowance mix series, we’re stoked to have her on.
Can you tell us first a little bit about the energy behind this mix? Any artists or tracks you want to give a special mention to? And any activity you envision doing while listening?
It’s a mix of some spacey, proggy, breaky and speedy house bits. Expect big clip and bad rip energy.
How long ago did you make Berlin your home and how do you feel it has honed your playing and sound since moving here?
I live in Dublin right now. Just a part timer in Berlin. Growing up as a baby dj in Dublin you learn to pack a punch in an hour with our shocking opening hours. So having the chance to let the real freak in me be free for a full four hours in Berlin has been … LIFE CHANGING.
Tell us a little bit about Soulseekers Allowance, an exciting new mix series you’ve started with your brother. How did it come about and can you drop any clues as to who we can expect on the lineup in the not too distant future? Will there be parties?!
Me and Fionn recorded a mix one night in the height of lockdown boredom. We liked it and decided to release it ourselves. Have to give credit to Dean for the name and the idea of the logo. We just put it into fruition and asked some of our faves to contribute. Really appreciate the hard work everyone has put into making their mixes. They have honestly been my favourite mixes ever made in the history of soundcloud mixes.
Who are some folx we should be keeping an eye on/listening to from your home scene in Dublin?
Loving all the work from Síofra, Bull Horris, Bambi, Dreamcycles, Mama Matrix, Eliza, Lolz, Efa O’Neill, Odd Ned, Lesko, everything on wherethetimegoes and sooo many more.
When you’re not spinning, you're taking beautiful photos. Anywhere we can catch them on show?
Yeah I have some of my work showing at the moment in Crawford Gallery in Cork, as part of a group show called…Saturation! Got to show some of the photos I have been taking of the crowds at the end of my sets. Was so lovely to be able to meld the two worlds for this show.
Where can we catch you playing this summer?
Playing B2B with Fio in Dublin at the start of April. As part of the Adonis takeover at The Cause Seaside Beano in May. Something cute happening in London in July and if anyone in Berlin wants to book me in the last weekend of April give me a call.
